It’s like coming come, only to a place curated for the day’s special occasion. As I round the hill just before the Vincent Homestead gated entrance, the private lake comes into view. 

The trees around the farmhouse and lodge drape over the pristinely landscaped lawn making even the hottest day in the summer one that feels cozy. This unique retreat began with the original farmhouse in 1910 and now serves for families and wedding parties to gather and create a weekend-long celebration complete with a pool and game options.

I have many couples with families coming from outside the great state of Texas and think this is ideal for them to stay onsite. The bridal suite at Vincent Homestead is one of my favorites. The furnishings and mirror wall photograph beautifully with natural light pouring in. I also love seeing the guys enjoying the open living space in the lodge when I greet them as opposed to a tightly walled mancave. 

When the ceremony takes place under the trees by the lake, we enjoy the breeze and the unlimited seating setting. Scott and his wonderful team have everything set beautifully at the pavilion where once again, we are not boxed in and are privileged to watch the sunset over the water and roam freely in and out of the covered patio, dance the night away on the dance floor or take a seat and take it all in.
