Timeless. That word in my vocabulary is high praise for a venue and well-deserved by Gruene Estate. I am always partial to historic places, but this place is truly a gem.

Outdoor wedding ceremony at Gruene Estate in Gruene, Texas showcasing the original open-air chapel and peaceful countryside setting.

The bridal suite is a house built in 1856 by German immigrant, Ernst Gruene. The home has been carefully preserved and beautifully decorated. Lined with rocking chairs, its charm invites you to see the rest of the property.

When I arrive, I find the groomsmen enjoying the ample space of the groom’s suite or the tree-covered courtyard. After candid and detail photos, I am always excited to see the decoration in the pavilion as the centerpieces and place settings compliment the vintage inspiration so well.

If I were to build a church, I would want it to look like the inside of Gruene Estate’s chapel. The stained glass and old world style need minimal florals to formally showcase couples as they share their commitment to each other with their families and friends.

What a blessing it has been to return to Gruene Estate many times over the years to preserve the weddings of couples who choose this treasure of New Braunfels history.
